The geometric shapes are sculptural works of art in themselves but also hide a secret that is only visible in illuminated form.

The materiality of the paper brings out the wood and opens up for shadow play in the surfaces. When the light is turned on, the white paper surface is magically transformed and collages/prints and drawings come to light. In combination with programmed light that turns on and off in a specific sequence, the collages convey a story. Each geometric shape contains small stories, fragments of a larger context/story.

I have had several exhibitions in collaboration with Maria Dahl where we create an interaction between my lamps and her text and narrative voice. The exhibitions are an example of how the lamps can be used. See link for video excerpt from one of our projects.

The works function as art and lamp in one and can be transferred to more robust materials if necessary.
